Unrivalled professional ski instructor training. Primarly designed for those in their Gap Year, students are integrated into the Snoworks programme gaining an unique look into the international snowsports industry with first class personal development.
BASI Trainers Lee Townend, 4-time Olympian, Emma Carrick-Anderson and Snoworks founder Phil Smith will be your head coaches and mentors on the Gap course... you couldn’t be in better hands on your journey to becoming a professional ski instructor.
Why choose Snoworks Gap ski courses for your ski instructor training?
1. Train before the start of the season
Autumn Gap: You can train and qualify before the start of the season.
2. Work the winter as a qualified ski instructor
Autumn Gap: If you are successful at both the BASI level 1 & 2, you could be
working the whole winter as a qualified ski instructor.
3. Tailored training as an individual
With all the courses we run alongside
the Gap course, we are in the unique position of being able to
tailor the training to each individual.
4. Small and personal
Snoworks does not pride itself on being the 'biggest' Gap course
provider. On the contrary we aspire to being one of the most
'personal and tailored' - you will be one of a maximum of
20 Gap students.
5. First class accommodation
Autumn Gap: Snoworks operates in conjunction with Mark Warner and the hotel l'Aguille Percée in Tignes, providing accommodation in twin-bedded rooms with private
facilities. Full breakfast, afternoon tea & cakes and a full
three-course evening meal is included. As accommodation for a Gap course, this is
unbeatable.
6. Staff
Emma Carrick-Anderson, 4-time Olympian and current Trainer for the
British Association of Snowsport Instructors; Lee Townend, Trainer for
the British Association of Snowsport Instructors; Phil Smith, Snoworks
Director and founder will head the Gap team.
7. Race training & Test Technique training available
Autumn Gap: For
BASI level 1 & 2 qualifications no race training experience is
required, however some race training is included as part of the development. For students with prior race experience you can train towards your 'Test Technique'. Combine this with the BASI level 2 and you can work as a ski instructor in France.
8. All day training
Training is all day, 5 days a week and there is a full after-ski
programme including lectures, video sessions and fitness training.
9. Pre purchase ski equipment
You can benefit from Snoworks relationship with Salomon. We can provide
ski equipment at reduced prices for purchase prior to the Gap course.
This offer includes Salomon X-Wing Tornado's (All Mountain) or Salomon
3V's (Slalom).
10. Price
Autumn Gap: excellent value for money. 2 persons
sharing in top class accommodation with 5 full days training every week.
11. Tailored Gap Courses
As Snoworks runs courses all year round we can tailor courses to your own needs, whether it be 2 to 10 weeks. Call our office to discuss your requirements.
